Reunion 2014 - Paris, TN

What: 12th Annual Nashville Chattanooga & St. Louis Ry. Preservation Society Reunion
Where: Paris Landing State Park and Inn, Paris, Tenn.
When: May 16-18, 2014

Registration Form

As many of you know, it’s our policy to hold the reunion in a town or city that was at one time served by the NC&StL Ry. This year’s reunion will be held in Paris, Tenn., on the former Paducah & Memphis Division (P&M). Paris was a division point where the Louisville & Nashville Railroad’s Memphis Line crossed the NC&StL, making the city a booming railroad town.

Our reunion headquarters will be the beautiful Paris Landing State Park Inn. We will have our meeting room, displays, and speakers all on site. We will dine in the Inn’s dining room for both our Friday night and Saturday meals. Meals at these Tennessee State Park restaurants are top notch!

Our Saturday field trip will be a car pool caravan excursion up the P&M from Paris through Puryear, Hazel, Murray, Hardin and Benton, and on to Paducah. We have contacted Bryan Willoughby of Murray, Ky. as our guide on this trip. Bryan knows this route intimately. He and your NCPS president made a similar trek in 2008. In Paducah, we will visit the Paducah Railroad Museum, affiliated with the Paducah chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.

Other activities for the weekend are still in flux but this northwest corner of Tennessee avails itself to multiple opportunities to visit NC&StL sites. South of Paris on the P&M is Bruceton, Tenn., division point for the NC’s Nashville and P&M divisions. To the west of Paris is the middle part of the Union City branch of the Nashville division including Huntington, McKenzie, Dresden, Martin and Union City.

Member registration for the Reunion is $50, non-member is $60, spouses are $35. These fees includes admission to the Paducah Museum, and meals for Friday and Saturday nights. Breakfast at the Inn and lunch on the field trip will be on your own.  Late fee of $10 per personwill apply to registrations received after May 9.
