Abandoned NC&STL Railway
Route Between Memphis, Jackson & Bruceton

Westport Station - Milepost 99.9

On August 15, 1927, there was a head-end collision between a NC&STL Railway and Gulf, Mobile & Northern Railroad freight train on the tracks located 2,095 feet south of Westport Station (approx. milepost 100.3), which resulted in the death of one employee and the injury of of 82 passengers, #? employees and three persons traveling on free transportation, and one person carried under contract.
